BUSINESS WEB SERVICES

Today, just creating a website is no longer enough. What questions about the website should you be interested in and how to make your website immortal?

I have been in regular contact with customers for web services for more than ten years. I know their most common questions like: How much will you make a website for me? How much does such an e-shop cost? When will it be finished? Will I be on the first page of List and Google? And so on… I think everyone in the industry knows that. Unfortunately, these questions are the first sentences I hear when talking to a client. To put it a little bit, it’s like asking a construction company, “How much will you build my house?”

With this article, I would like to show website owners (primarily small businesses, sole traders, municipalities, primary schools, etc.) the more important aspects they should focus on when thinking about redesigning their website or creating a new one.

IT DOESN’T END WITH CREATION, BUT IT BEGINS.

Today, almost everyone will create a website for you… Only I know so many people/companies that make websites that I would get the price of the same website different by tens of thousands.

WHEN YOU ARE AT THE BEGINNING…

If you don’t have a website yet and are thinking about creating it, here are some questions you should be able to answer…

What is the goal and purpose of the site?

The goal of any good website is to work properly and fulfill the purpose for which it was created. That is clear to everyone. So it’s not enough that you like it or that it costs little money. The web should make a profit, not just in the form of money. You should set goals as specific as possible, for example, We want to get 10 new clients a month, 100 contacts for potential clients a month, increase sales by 100%, etc. But beware, the goals should be realistic given the budget! Therefore, when defining them, do not forget to determine the budget for internet marketing, define the main benefits of your product/service, look back at the competition, think about the future, and consider whether after successfully launching your site you will be able to meet demand, increase manpower, you tighten it…

There are a lot of goals you should focus on, and the company in whose palms you put your website should help you determine them. At least that’s how we do it. 🙂 If you are interested in how such goal measurement is done (we don’t suck it out of the finger the answer is simple, analytical tools help us. For example, with Google Analytics (which is free – thank you GOOGLE), we can measure how many dumplings a sirloin has on a plate for a user who is watching your site at lunch. Of course, I’m exaggerating, but he definitely can do enough to be able to measure all the actions you need.

WHAT TYPE OF SITE DO YOU NEED?

If you already have goals, you can jump in to determine what type of website you need. You will have to answer other questions (I know it’s real. Does the website present a service, product, or company? Does it sell directly or just inform? Does it teach or entertain people or, for example, associate a community? For each question, it is advisable to answer a slightly different type of site. Let’s see what type of website might be ideal for you.

The classic website represents the company/person as a whole, including its products and services. Its goal is to turn visitors into customers (convince them of their qualities).

The e-shop mainly provides direct online sales of products or services, this is its primary purpose, information about the company is only a necessary supplement (unless it is the main advantage over the competition, such as tradition, history, celebrities, etc.).

The content blog aims to reach potential clients through quality and useful content. Thanks to it, you can support and positively influence awareness of your brand, product, and service.

The portal brings together a community of people and provides them with a wide range of information, most often with a focus. It provides information from various Internet sources (eg news).

A microsite is a separate website created to present a specific product, service, special offer, or one-time event. It usually serves as a supplement to the parent site.

A landing page is a page that a visitor comes to when they click on an advertising link (eg web banner, paid link, PPC advertisement, and newsletter). It is often confused with a microsite which is not correct. The task of the landing page is primarily to ensure conversion, ie to change an incoming, paid (online advertisement) visitor into a customer (eg to persuade him to fill in an order form, download an e-book, register, etc.). The landing page is very well adapted to this task and for this reason, it often does not even have to be a real part of the company website.

Web applications are software applications designed for the Internet environment that uses an Internet browser to run. Typically it can be an intranet, social network, catalog, discussion, web chat, or even a game.

WHAT SOLUTION DO YOU NEED?

If you have specified a web project type, you can specify a web solution. You can make a website yourself from a template, rent a ready-made website, or have a custom website created. Choosing the right web solution will ensure that you do not pay a lot of money unnecessarily for something you do not need, or, conversely, that you do not pay little for something that your goals do not have a chance to meet.
